Connect launches new Interactive Map

Connect's Mapping Team made the decision recently to move the Connect Arkansas Interactive Broadband Map in-house. Moving the Map in house allows for greater flexibility, more control over design, and primarily a better outlook in regard to sustainability. To facilitate this move, the mapping team is making use of an Amazon EC2 Windows Server instance for maximum availability as well as a license of ESRI ArcServer to manage and serve the data as the users interact with the map. The extended flexibility will allow us to display more items in the future such as Community Anchor Information, Wireless Connectivity Points, and other demographics that are pertinent to high-speed Internet users in the State of Arkansas.
